Budwig
Muesli Cream with Pomegranate and
Poppy Seeds
Ingredients
for 2 servings:
- 3
tablespoons Dr. Budwig's flax
oil/omega-3 oil of your
choice
- 2
tablespoons milk
- 250
g quark (or cottage cheese)
- 2
tablespoons honey
- 1
pinch cardamom, ground
- 1
pinch cinnamon
- 1
dash of salt
- 1
small pomegranate
- 1
heaped tablespoon poppy
seeds
- 2
tablespoons pine nuts
Preparation:
Slice
the pomegranate into
quarters and dissolve out the woody
core, saving the poppy seeds.
Stir
a smooth cream now from the
flax oil, milk, quark/cottage cheese
and honey. Add
the cardamom, cinnamon
and salt.
Layer
the quark and oil cream in a glass
with 2 tablespoons of the pomegranate
poppy seeds. Garnished the
cream with more poppy seeds
pine nuts and serve.
Tips:
Roll
the close pomagranate back and forth,
so that the seeds fall out easily
after opening. Ripe pomegranates taste
best - therefore pay attention to
ripeness. You should see an yellowish-red
to deep-red colored shell.
